Anna Laurini painting at the shop. How we got our latest mural.

Here at A pop-up Wonderland, we love clothes (above all vintage clothes!) and we love Art. We love anything that is beautiful and unique, with its own style and personality.
Every month we have a new exhibition in the shop, this month we are having the paintings of Italian born, London-based contemporary artist Anna Laurini. (Lucky us!!!)
For every show, we try to have a site-specific piece, which means that the space is continuously evolving. For this one, we have asked Anna to use the frame around the windows inside the shop,
and she said yes!
We usually give the artist a very loose brief (it has to relate to the concept of the shop) because we like them to be as free as possible in their creative process. These are the pictures of the making of the frame. She made this wonderful piece for us. It will be instore as long as we stay open, and well worth checking out.

Thank you Anna!!! <3 <3 <3

Come get spooky with us for Halloween!

Join us on the evening 31st October for the fright of your lives :

This Halloween Night , we're celebrating the closing of our first exhibition (the very cool works of contemporary artist Maya Tralala and Stefano Terranova) .

For the occasion, we're having a third artist joining us...<drum roll>...painter and performance artist Alexandra Unger will be presenting her new performance: Supermum.

To go with the drum rolls, we also have DJ and producer Nova, going armpit to armpit (as opposed to back to back! ) with our resident DJ Phiorio for a special spooky Halloween set....

And, more drum rolls there for Stuart's special pumpkin truffles and Genie's super special (read: gluten-free and dairy-free) super awesome pumpkin pie, which she reckons is better than yours and will bring all the boys (and girls) to the yard.

And last but not least, since the last Art raffle was so much fun, we're doing it again with fresh pieces and more shop vouchers to be won :)

Dress code: it's Halloween, please dress up! if you're not the dressing up type, please wear your best black outfit. We will have plenty of props at the shop, too!
