Come get spooky with us for Halloween!

Join us on the evening 31st October for the fright of your lives :

This Halloween Night , we're celebrating the closing of our first exhibition (the very cool works of contemporary artist Maya Tralala and Stefano Terranova) .

For the occasion, we're having a third artist joining us...<drum roll>...painter and performance artist Alexandra Unger will be presenting her new performance: Supermum.

To go with the drum rolls, we also have DJ and producer Nova, going armpit to armpit (as opposed to back to back! ) with our resident DJ Phiorio for a special spooky Halloween set....

And, more drum rolls there for Stuart's special pumpkin truffles and Genie's super special (read: gluten-free and dairy-free) super awesome pumpkin pie, which she reckons is better than yours and will bring all the boys (and girls) to the yard.

And last but not least, since the last Art raffle was so much fun, we're doing it again with fresh pieces and more shop vouchers to be won :)

Dress code: it's Halloween, please dress up! if you're not the dressing up type, please wear your best black outfit. We will have plenty of props at the shop, too!

Our last painting session before the Launch and new opening hours.

These are our official opening hours from now on:
Tuesday to Saturday 12 to 7pm.

You may find us open randomly outside these times as well.
If you want to talk to Stuart about the gallery, better to come on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning. If you want to see me about the shop, best times are Thursday afternoon, Friday or Saturday.
In the meantime, there's a few pictures of one of our last setting up sessions before the launch.
Thank you ever so much to Emily, Maya, Charo and Mark for donating their time and talent to help us make the space beautiful and ready. I had a great time and it made me feel cared for. That definitely is one of the best feelings in the world.

Launch Party Pictures

So we did the launch last thursday. It was fantastic, plenty of lovely people turned up. Even my mom was there! She decided to look after the bar, which was great because by the end of the night she was possibly the soberest person in the place!
We had a  really cool set by one of our favourite DJs and producer Phiorio. You can hear a mix by him here.
The art on the wall was a set of posters by Italian Illustrator Stefano Terranova, and a series of stitched images by French artist Maya Tralala, who we commissioned to paint our screens with Alice in Wonderland inspired images. The screens look fantastic, just for that, it's worth coming to have a look at the shop! The Terranova/Tralala exhibition is in the gallery until the 31st of October. We will
have a closing party that night, we'll tell you more about it very soon, and if you missed the launch, be sure to come to this one!
Last but not least, we had our first art raffle, some lucky people won two sketches, a lovely print and a £10 voucher to spend in the shop.
It was so much fun, we're doing it all again for Halloween!
In the meantime, come and see us at the shop, check out the art, get a coat for winter...
